Traveling History at Robben Island (South Africa)

Robben Island (Robben Island) is located in the Atlantic Ocean approximately 15 km from the city of Cape Town. This island was once a land with an area of Bloubergstrand, which ultimately separated as a result of a natural phenomenon that occurred millions of years ago. This island has an area of 574 ha. There are many seals so that the Dutch named Robben Island which means island seals.

Robben Island is currently no longer function as a prison, the island is transformed into historical sights. As a tourist who is always curious about the history of the places visited, of course I had to visit this island. Robben Island tourist facilities have been managed very professionally. Starting from departure to Robben island, the tourists just buy a ticket and take turns taking a ship large enough, can accommodate up to 200 people. After arriving on the island, the tourists waiting for buses ready around the island, the bus will stop at the places that are considered to have historical significance. One of the stops was Nelson Mandela's cell. I'm curious as to what the heck the room where he spent 27 years of his life. Together with a group of tourists from various countries we went down the halls prison, imagine what is happening in this prison in the past.

Option to visit this place during the day arguably less precise because none of the trees can be a shelter, here is the type of vegetation types fynboss, a kind of bush shrub that thrives here. Fortunately the sun defeated by beautiful scenery and experience that I can at Table Mountain. Unceasingly I am pleased to visit this city.
